Graphic Matter, Beverly Thomas Rossi, Creative Services, M3 Pitch Winner, Make Mine A Million
Bev Rossi has been selected as an award-winner in the Make Mine a Million $ Business 2011 competition held in Philadelphia, called M3 1000. The name stands for M3′s desire to increase to 1000 the number of competition winners they award so that they may help more women accelerate their growth to the million-dollar level.
Thirty-three M3 Awardees were chosen based on an additional competition round involving financial, business plan and reference reviews. These businesses are believed to have the potential to grow into million dollar enterprises quickly and sustainibly.
As part of the M3 1000 prize, Bev will now have the opportunity to receive professional coaching, relevant business training, and accountability and peer support to help follow her concrete plan toward revenue growth. Beverly Rossi, President of Graphic Matter, Inc. was recently presented the WPEO Rising Star Award for the NY Region at the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization [WPEO] Annual Awards Breakfast. The event, held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on March 4, 2011, recognized women business owners, corporations, and women’s business advocates. It also celebrated the thirteen years the WPEO has created access for Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) to private-sector opportunities. In addition, the WPEO acknowledged WPEO-certified WBEs and WPEO Corporate Sponsors. The WPEO provides full service third party certification to women entrepreneurs in the New York, Northern New Jersey, Southern Connecticut and the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.
The WPEO Rising Star Award recognizes a WBE that has been certified for between 1-4 years, has demonstrated past performance in doing business with corporations, government entities, and fellow WBEs, has supported other women in business, and has shown active involvement in the WPEO through volunteer service, in kind support, event sponsorship, committee participation and panelist contribution. Two winners are honored: one from the WPEO-NY region and one from the WPEO-DC region.
Beverly has been an enthusiastic advocate for WBENC certification, and together with fellow WBE Maureen Borzacchiello of Creative Display Solutions proposed a pilot program to increase vendor development opportunities for WBEs and second tier opportunities with corporations. Originally certified in 2006, Graphic Matter was also the 2010 recipient of the Done Deals WBE Partnership Award.
These organizations have provided immeasurable support to Bev and to Graphic Matter’s growth through the years. We are pleased to be able to reciprocate in kind, and proud that Bev has been recognized for her contributions.
Graphic Matter Receives WPEO Done Deals 2010 WBE Partnership Award
Graphic Matter, Inc. was recently presented the Done Deals 2010 WBE Partnership Award at the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization [WPEO] Annual Breakthrough Breakfast for Women Business Enterprises [WBEs]. The event, held at New York City’s Grand Central Hyatt on October 1, 2010, honored the NY region winners of the Done Deals Challenge, a program developed to recognize and celebrate business contracts between WPEO Corporate Sponsors and WBEs, as well as between WBEs.
Originally certified in 2006, Graphic Matter has participated in the Done Deals Challenge for three years. “My success in the Done Deals Challenge, and in leveraging my WBENC certification to promote Graphic Matter Inc., has been almost entirely in the relationships we have formed with other women business owners,” reports Bev Rossi. “Some have asked us to participate in corporate RFPs, while others have contracted Graphic Matter to provide creative services for their own businesses. We are grateful for the many partnerships we have formed through our WBENC connections.” Some of these partnerships – and the resulting friendships – include commVerge Marketing, Daystar Promotions, Inc., Leroe Corporate Gifts, Inc., MDS, Inc., Motivation Mechanics, NewType, Inc., NTSG, Inc., and RPR Graphics, Inc., all Graphic Matter clients and colleagues who are also WBENC certified.
